Gas Scooter

ok i have an electric scooter and i tore all of the electronics out of it to make it a gas scooter. i am going to use a 35cc chainsaw motor and need help with the gear ratio. what would be a good gear ratio to get the most out of the engine.
4 inch wheels. 2 cycle. dry wheight 20 lbs. Weight with me 105.

i have a 32cc weed wacker motor scooter on 12.5 inch wheels at 14:1, pictures email me.

I have a 49cc 2 Stroke gas scooter running without a muffler. the muffler broke off when i was driving my scooter around my house. I was wondering what will happen, if it will blow the motor , increase the speed or more power. I am looking in to buying one but i just wanted to now if it was safe to drive the scooter without the muffler on.

The mufflers ONLY function is to exhaust burnt gases away from the engine. And since this is a 2 STROKE Engine it has no valves to warp from lack of a muffler, that is not of any concern. It may cause the engine to be harder to start when it is cold. You must also keep water and debris from entering the exhaust port or it will cause damage to the engine. .

I want to install a tachometer on my gas scooter. Im thinking of buying a tachometer that connects to a spark plug on the 2 stroke engine. Will it work? (My scooter is a E-treme XG-499 2-Stroke Gas Scooter)

Almost forgot the tachometer I want to get is Equus Tachometer with 4-color illumination. Also does it need power. (12volt battery)

don't think it will work. Usually tachs are hooked up to the coil. Unless the instructions say so, and yes you need a power supply like 12 volt battery.

As long as the scooter can get me around a small town I dont care the year. As long as it works.

gas for a scooter costs $ 2.85
and holds maybe 2.5 gallons
