49cc Gas Scooter

Like a desperate Mom at xmas time, I purchased my son's ONE wish, a gas powered scooter, from the internet. Needless to say, it lasted about 2 weeks before it needed replacement parts, and the company does not return calls or emails. I tried the manufacturer, but they have NO idea what I need, which I took straight from the parts list that came from the scooter! Needless to say i'm more than frustrated and have searched endlessly for these parts on line. The scooter is made in China and is a NS46 49cc Gas scooter. The parts required are:
2 Axes sockets (#39 & #50 on the parts list)
Adjusting Breech Block (#49 on the parts list)
Axle Tree (# 43 on the parts list)
Please, please if anbody can help me find these parts or substitutes for them i'd be forever grateful.

I am afraid to say it might be eaisier and cheaper to buy another of the same scooter than to get parts to repair a throw away scooter. Japanese and European brand names are that 50-100% more $'s because you are buying warranty, customer support, but above all a place to get the machine serviced, repaired and buy parts. and besides.... you meet the nicest people on a Honda.

I recently purchased a 49cc scooter on ebay with only a pull start, no electric start. When I first tried to start the scooter, the pull start broke and the cup peice that fit inside of it. I recently got replacement parts for it and now the pull start wont rewind into itself when on the scooter. There is nothing wrong with the parts it's just the pull start won't wind up after being pulled out. If I loosen the bolts and pull this starter out, then the cord will wind up again. The engine can also start when I pull, and if I pull the starter out a little it will wind back in. Shortly after something will start clicking and then the engine will stall. It is the rectangular starter pawl and the first pull start I am dealing with. A little complex, but if anyone can help, thank you.

You need to stick a couple small washers under the screws and the cage - it has to be shimmed like a starter.

Right now it is way to close and it is binding up on you -
It is a trial and error - try 1 washer all around every screw - then 2 then 3

You should get it with 1-2 but you never know.

I was riding my 49cc scooter one day and then it died. I tried for three days to get it started again, but no luck. I changed the spark plug since but still nothing. I let it set for a good day to make sure i wasnt flooding the plug out. But still nothing. What can i check or do next? PLease help!

It might sound stupid but have you got fuel in it? Also is there a fuel tap that you might have accidently flicked off, stopping the fuel flow.. What happened when it died, you might have blown the cylinder/ cylinder head/ broke the piston/ you should also check the HT leads work

my mom is looking into buying me a 2008 gas-powered scooter & she wants to know how fast it will go... neither of us know what 49cc means besides the engines power. i weigh about 145 or 150. how fast do you think this scooter will go?

One of the faster 50cc scooters is the Kymco Super 9. There are a lot of after market parts available for this bike that can get it going 70+MPH no sweat. Yes, you read that correctly ;)

I am thinking to buy a 49 cc gas scooter , but I don't know is it legal to drive in TX. Do I need to go to DMV to register or need title?

If you live in TX and have this question I would suggeest that you call your local DMV and ask them! That you would be certain to get the correct answer!
