2 Mobility Scooter

My nan bought a mobility scooter (go go elite traveller) in June 07 for £1495 and now we are tring to sell it they are priced at about £600 (brand new). Was my nan conned when she bought it or has the price of mobility scooters dropped drastically in the last 2 years?

they always try to con people on those, and also the matresses there was a report about it, you ned to find out who conned her and report them

I need insurance to cover a mobility scooter I am hireing while we are away in the UK. I thought theinsurance for my own scooter would cover it, but as it's a new scooter the insurance doesn't come into effect until next year when the garuntee runs out, and then is only effective on my own scooter. We go away at the begining of next week so I need to know ASP, so I can find it at the latest Monday

It should be covered in the hire fee. Phone wherever it is you intend hiring it from and ask them.

the old ones and fiting the new ones, i know roughly how to do it but id really like some tips of do/do not's etc and any other advice so i dont get it wrong, thanks very much for your help.

First find were the old batteries are, then using the correct size spanner looses the battery connections. The batteries will be held in place by a metal frame or clip, both have bolts holding them in place. Remove the bolts and the frame, the batteries can now be removed. Fitting the new batteries is the reverse of the strip out.
Don't forget to take the batteries to the tip for disposal.

We need a kids mobility scooter, preferably pink. Not Whizz kids (they are not very good - the application process is horrendous) money is no object. We are looking for a supplier or website.

Is she a double above knee or below knee?

How old is she and how long has she been wearing the legs. If she's still really young and has a relitivly good sense of balance it might be a good idea not to encourage the use of a scooter. For longer trips thats one thing but you don't want her to rely on the scooter and strop using her legs altogether. You need to practice walking in order to improve gait. Depending on how long she has been an amputee and the level of amputation it may be better to encourage more walking then less walking. Having grown up as an amputee myself ( granted I am only a single leg amp) I know that as a young child you need to develop good walking habits. If you don't work at it as a kid yu will regret it as a teenager and adult. I know lots of double leg amps who have good gaits and rely on little or no aids to assist them.

However if your child really does need a scooter for occasional long trips it may be best to consult your prostitist or childrens rehab. IF they have suggested a scooter they should be able to suggest a line that works well with other kids in simmilar situations

2. will you match me with a scooter model that will be:
a. stable but light weight.
b. Longer charge holding battery
c. Two of them will fit in the back of a Dodge Grand Caravan with minimal or no disassembly.
d. Easy to assemble/disassemble.
3. Do you have a store in Las Vegas, NV; so I can examine the units before I commit myself?
4.I need to discuss and reserve two units for the first week in December.
5. do I get an spare battery with unit?
