Is it true that women can lift chairs easier than men because of their wide hips and something about lower mass gravity.
Does it have to be done while sitting down or standing up?
Does it sound like a good science experiment for my project?
Does this mean I have to use a very muscular boy and a very feminine girl for it?
Yep, you are right. For the most part, women have a lower center of gravity than men. (If you balanced people on a gym bar, men have a center of gravity around their belly button, while women's C.G. is a few inches lower. The usual "parlor trick" to demonstrate this is top ask men and women to stand one "foot length" from a wall then lean their head against the wall (please, have the boys use their arms...and not just fall into the wall with their heads...lol). For adults, most men can't stand up (lift their heads off the wall without using their arms; but women can). Exceptions: Very strong men with well developed abs and lower backs...just have them back up an extra inch or two...also girls who are built like boys will have trouble, too). I don't know if this by itself makes a good science experiment, but it might if you did some more comparisons of the body differences. Example, simulate a pregnancy with weights...most boys could not stand up...again, it's that C.G. thing. Compare lower and upper body strengths between boys and girls at different ages...most girls are faster and stronger than boys pre-puberty then it changes. That might make an interesting comparison of the mighty X vs puny Y chromosome, eh?
Hope this gets you thinking.

My fiancee's father has severe MS. He can now barely walk and it is getting so bad that he cant go many places either. He has a scooter chair to help him get around but the house is two small for it (we live in a single wide trailor) and we have a '83 ford eco line van that is going to go out soon and we need a new chair lift. We need to find some organizations in Colorado Springs, Colorado. So if someone can help us, please do.

My "specialist" doctor recently told me I had to quit running and weight lifting because I have degenerative disc disease.
What yoga poses should I avoid?
Almost overnight, I've lost my ability to comfortably do forward bends, plow/wide-legged plow, and knees to ears.
I've already had surgery for a blow disc (L5-S1), but this pain appears when I run (or "power walk as I do now).
I also have flat feet.
His diagnosis is killing as I derive tremendous pleasure from running.
As per the "Posture Presription", I know longer sit in chairs. I only squat or kneel at a desk.
When sitting on a couch, I sit in cross legged postion with a lumbar roll.
I do a 90 minute yoga session in the a.m., and a 30 minute one in the afternoon.
As per the "McKenzie Method", I do cobra/backend every two hours.
In other words, I do all I can to improve things.
Nevertheless, the pain the area of my traps appears when I walk or run.
Thank you.

Six months ago, my disability progressed to the point where my legs will no longer do what I tell them to do. The biggest draw-back to that is I can no longer drive. I love to drive and my wife hates to and with her disability she is unable to lift my wheelchair up to load it in the car. We live in our dream home we had built taking my disability in account. All our doors are wide, ramps were installed, and our bathroom is accessible. But we live 35 miles from the nearest town that consists of more than a mini-market and gas station. I know there is the availability of having hand controls installed on our car but I don’t know where to look for a company that does that. Also, once I get in the car how would I get my chair in? Are there organizations that help with the financial part of the conversion?
The are various van and car mobility conversion companies that are able to convert your vehicle for you in various ways. Alot of these companies are online and very easy to find.

Im not worried about cardio or diet. i know about those. Just are these good or too many?
I jus want to do what will build these muscles the fastest.
As long as you do the cardio and the diet bits the exercise list looks pretty good. I would not do all of the exercises in each list every day you work the muscle groups though.
