Mom's lift chair
I live in the DFW (Dallas, tx) area... but I can get this shipped. I need the lift to go up 42" (that's where the door of the building is) any ideas where I can get a used one? I don't care what it looks like.

If I could get an estimate for how much it costs for distance and just the engine room.
Chairlifts come in all different forms (e.g. pulls, fixed chair, detachables), qualities (e.g. speed, models) and distances. Asking how much a chairlift is going to cost is like asking how much a car is going to cost.
Your ballpark range is less than a million US dollars for a basic T-bar tow package to tens of millions for your high-speed detatchable quad chairs.
The best place to start is going to be the world leader in chair life manufacturing - POMA.

You are going to have a hard time finding specific numbers because - like any other large equipment manufacturers - there are Non-Disclosure Agreements to how much they actually paid on their chairs. You can find the information if you do research on publicly listed ski resorts, though.

My computer chair wont lift anymore and wont stay still to my desired height. I dont want to junk it because the cushion is still good and comfy but it just goes down and down and down until I realized I am already below the height of the table. Can somebody suggest how to fix it or any remedy at all?

b) if one saves the rounding for the end, not using the 1500N from above, (150 * 9.8) / 25 = 58.8N/cm² which would round to 59N/cm² or 590kPa
