We just aquired a bunch of used medical equipment that is in decent condition (grandma passed away). We want to try to sell it to get a few bucks, but I'm not sure about selling on eBay since most items will be difficult to ship (walkers, sling lift, wheel chair, hospital bed, etc.). I have no idea about the value of these items either, so I'm hesitant to list them in the classifides or Craigslist. Any other ideas?
since no ebay, there is a sight called govdeals.com i just know how to price on it, not sure if there is a way to auction unless you are special.. also we have a place in our area called golsn.com where you can sell stuff... if your area has a place like that then try it, or try the local classifieds!!
to search the values, type in the brand name.. that will give you a ballpark figure!!

I need help with health expenses. And I make 600. a month on disability, and medicaid goes so far. I need several things and lost so much weight from an untreated viral infection, can't afford to buy clothes, can't afford the aquatherapy I need for my neuropathy from Severe RA and OA. I have to have injections Medicaid won't pay for, and I need a lift chair and a hearing aid. Medicaid has paid for one and I can't get the other for three yrs. I need to find a grant, and all these books online want 20-60 bucks I do not have. I cannot work cause I cannot feel my hands or feet, and I have severe migraines. It's disheartening, but I keep going. Anyone have any suggestions..I am tapped out. Anyone know any places who have grants?
If you are on disability, you should be covered under Medicare which would pay all that. Contact the soc. security dept about that.
that may not be able to hold on as they are being lifted? Isn't this for a person that is unable to get up by themselves? My Dad got sick and had to be put on a vent. When he was taken off it he was not able to talk or eat. He has a feeding tube now and he just lays in bed. He tries to respond by moaning or yelling. I have him home with me and I want to get a hoyer lift and a geri chair to get him out of bed. Any ideas or suggestions. This is his Doctor saying not to use this and leave him in bed. He was termed as activly dying several weeks ago, but has came back. He has been discharged from Hospice care and is back with his regular Doctor. The Doctor comes to see him twice a month and the R.N. sees him once a week to see if we need anything. I told them this is what I needed and they said it was too riskey for my Dad with not being more alert. I have been in the Medical field for 15 plus years and I know if he was in a nursing home they would have him up!
there are any number of medical supply houses that will sell you these items. without the cooperation of the doctor tho, medicare, or medicaid will not pay for them, you will have to purchase them yourself. Some supply houses will rent them to you as well.
