A small plastic gear-wheel is missing two teeth.Manafactured by Jaeger,it pushes the ram on my Mums riser -chair.
Anyone know of a UK stocker please,a very longshot.
Thanks in advance
I've repaired one of these chair-lifts many years ago.
In fact, it was the same problem; broken teeth on a gear.
I can't even remember the brand name now but I do remember that the client had kept great records and had all the information on hand including the original purchase receipt.
I got on-line with the company and apparently, it was guaranteed for life, and it was a common problem with the product because they sent me a repair kit with all the instructions and materials needed free of charge!
I was happy and so was my client.
I hope this helps you.
Good luck.

i had an electrition check my room. he did not feel i had to much plugged in and if i did i should trip the circuit. i am disabled and my chair died. company replaced all the parts. I hope that was the problem. Is their another possible explanation. how do i test for it?
thanks
Don't waste money on a electrician because the problem is not in your house. Yes, this sounds like a power surge problem and the correct people to call is your power company.
Explain to them your problem and the fact you are disabled and ask them to install a surge protection meter (they are common here in Florida because of all the lightning).
The other route is to purchase surge protector power strips and this will get pricey considering how many you need. At least get one to charge your chair for now.
Good luck.

Ive been on holiday recently snowboarding, and while on the chair lifts and gondolas weve been thinking about how are these massive structures built in such remote and inaccesible locations? Another part to this is how are the cables (which must way tons) run over the length of the lift, then bonded together and the tension applied?!
Can you help, or point me to a website?
Helicopters are used to transport an entire tower/cross-arm structure up to the set site and keep it stationary and level while workmen accomplish the bolt-down. When altitude and temperature restrict the helicopter's lift capacity, an operations team can assist in the design and planning process to separate the towers into safe working loads that can be reassembled efficiently and securely at the set site.

I have a papasan chair that I've had for about ten years. The larger supports of the "bowl" part are fine, but the smaller bamboo (or rattan?) supports that spiral around to the middle are broken.
I used to just duct tape them back when one broke, but now that I share an apartment with some rowdy college guys, they've become more duct tape than bamboo.
I'd rather try and fix this somehow rather than just throw it away. It still has years of use in it!
Does anyone have any ideas for how I could replace the smaller supports? I had an idea that I could remove all of them, and then maybe tightly fasten a rope between the larger sticks in a spiral to imitate the old bamboo.
Do you think this would work, or do you have any other ideas?
Thanks!
I used copper tubing that you can get in the home improvement center. It is flexible enough that you can bend the ends around the large bamboo supports or stick it into the holes that the small supports were in and glue it. You don't feel it when the cushion is in place. Over time it started to look really cool as it turned to a patina green. I also painted mine several times, for a while it was red and then I painted it black and it looked like a new chair both times.
