Lift Chair Motors

Answers

i need to hook up a capacitor start instant reverse motor to a whell chair lift gate?

i have a dayton 6k415 motor and I'm attempting to wire it to a wheelchair lift gate dpdt switch there are 2 brown wires, a green ,a red , and a white one. the green i believe is the ground and i believe the 2 brown go to the relay switches just not sure where the white and the red go. it is a mac p40 wheelchair lift. PLEASE HELP!!!

Pretty sure it goes like this. Green - ding ding dign your right. Brown and Brown go to the capacitor ( usually ) their should be a picture on the side of the motor. Red and White - well if 220 volt one goes to one side of power , the other to other side of power, if motor is 110 volt white is common , and red to the power . Hope that helps if not call a friend who is an electrician, or hvac mechanic , or have a beer and let the the wheel chair roll.

A chair lift takes skiers to the top of a mountain that is 300m high. The average mass of a skier complete with equipment is 80kg. The chair lift can deliver three skiers to the top of the mountain every 30s.

A) Determine the power required to carry out this task. (assume the skiers join the lift at full speed).

B) If friction increases increases the power required by 25%, what power must the motors running the lift be able to deliver?

thanks

A) Calculate the difference of potential energy (E=m*g*h). That's the energy that motors need. If you divide it by the time that is needed to complete the task, you will have the power (energy/time) required.

B) An example... if you have U$100, and you add the 25% of it ... how much mony you have now?

my mom has a lift chair and it won't up or down. Could it be the motor and will they come to her house to fix

make sure no one unpluged it, they should come fix it
