Which Bed is better to sleep comfort AIR bed or WATER bed?
hot air

I think it is a matter of personal preference. Personally I loved my water bed but you do need to add water to it. I used to check it every 2 to 3 weeks.

Two of my friends have a sleep comfort bed. One loves his, and it is nice. The other friends' bed is really awful, I don't know why there is a difference in them. They look the same to me.

How do you repair a Sleep Comfort or Sleep Number bed that leaks air?
sleep number control

I've had two of these beds and both would lose air. It wasn't the pump. I found the solution to be in repairing and/or replacing the the way the air hoses connect to the pump. The only other solution is replacing the mattresses which is too expensive. If you go to Ebay you can find my solution under Sleep Comfort or Sleep Number beds. I've got the solution there with a little yellow book. I've found replacement parts that work like a dream.

i like a air bed rely loose and soft.

btw to leave this to u and me.
I GOT LINES ALL OVER MY BODY FROM AIR BEDS IF ITS TO TIGHT.

After back surgery's my back hurts much more if i sleep in my bed then on my coach with my head elevated?
garfield sleeps

I have had 5 back surgery's covering the lumbar area from S1,L5,L4, L3, AND L2. All being fused in short terms, excecpt a titanium spring/cage at L4/L5 which was my first surgery. I have a sleep comfort adjustable air bed which allows you to change stiffness from very soft to hard. Even on the softest setting my back hurts a lot more then if i sleep on my couch with my head more elevaded which is more like an arch or recliner position. The QUESTION is "why does my back hurt much more when i wake up if i sleep in my bed then if i sleep on my coach???? No one i have talked to including my doctor which was highly recommented knows. I just find it hard to believe i'm the only person that has this problem. One other thing that came along with this was just minutes before i went into surgery i didn't have any problems with the top of my feet. The minute i cam to i noticed my feet, more the right then the left had a numness with an irrited feeling which i still have to this day. Please help

I think that it's essential to do whatever you can do get a good night's sleep and if that means buying a new bed, so be it. There is a bed that I have seen advertised on television whereby the head of the bed can be raised to various angles. It's called the Craftmatic Adjustable Bed. You may have to invest in one of these in order to take the strain off your lower back. Also, it reads as if there was possible spinal nerve damage or, at the very least, some irritation of the sciatic nerve (the posterior part being the common peroneal nerve) leading to the top of the foot. This latter problem may or may not get better with time. You've probably heard of the sciatic nerve, the largest nerve in the body. Well, this nerve originates from your lower spine (L4 thru S3) and, as it runs down the thigh, it supplies the posterior muscles there and then divides just above the knee into the common peroneal and tibial nerves. The common peroneal nerve winds around the lateral surface of the leg to supply the anterolateral leg muscles and be continued onto the dorsum (top) of the foot. Somewhere, probably during surgery, this nerve was inadvertently "bruised"--to what extent, only time will tell.

Question about a sleep number select comfort bed?

I got rid of my waterbed bladder a few years ago and just stuck an old coil spring mattress in the waterbed frame. Now that is hurting my back so I'm thinking about just buying the 2 air chambers and the pump and putting them in the same frame.

Will this work? I know I'm missing a bunch of foam pieces and select comforts actual full bed kinda has a different base. But overall what do you think or has anyone else tried it?

Don't buy it, I heard that you might as well buy an air mattress because its air that you are sleeping on. If price is not a problem but the temper petic

Tracking information from Select Comfort. Anybody else have problems with shipping with your sleep number bed

We ordered it on April 27th. On the Thank You Welcome To Select Comfort packet we recieved, it said you would be able to get tracking information within 4 days of purchase. That we would have it within 14 days.
It's been 8 days and all Customer Care can tell me is, "it's sitting on the dock in South Carolina waiting to be picked up by UPS."
This is the answer they have given me since Thursday.
Call me impatient, I don't care.
We have already put a thousand dollar down payment on this four thousand dollar bed, and I just want to know when to expect it.
And ofcourse my husband is driving me batty with complaints about his back hurting. Because we ditched our old mattress the day we bought our sleep number, and pumped up an $80 air mattress to tie us over.
The salesman told us that most people get their beds within 3 to 4 days of placing their order. Tops would be 14 days.
I told the Customer Care people that and ofcourse the story the tell that never happens, and it usually takes 7 to 14 business days.

Grrr... Their website and the documentation we got with this bed doesn't say anything about working days.

So my question is, Is this a normal song and dance with Select Comfort? Have you been told one thing by the salespeople in regards to shipping and not get the same answer from Customer Care?

We even asked if we could pay extra for them to ship it faster, but nope that's not an option. We probably wouldn't be so aggravated if we had been honestly told it would take 14 business days.

We got ours in 11 days. I was as frustrated as you were! I did not understand why it took so long to even get into UPS's truck to begin with. UPS is an awesome company and very reliable, it all starts with Select Comfort's shipping and receiving department which I have come to not care for much... I guess all I can say is stay on top of the shipping day by calling them every day asking what is the status of your order...
