Answers

does anyone know where you can get a queen size (or king) adjustable bed that would be covered by medicare?

my mom really needs an adjustable bed due to many medical conditions but there is no way she can afford one and all the info I can find on what medicare will cover is a twin size but there is no room in her apartment for her to have her own twin size bed so she needs a queen size for her and her hubby any ideas? expierences with this? any help appricated thanks.

My parents have slept of two twin beds for the nearly 50 years of their marriage. They have twin bottom sheets and king top sheets.
That is slightly bigger than a queen sized bed so see if that would fit.

My adjustable bed mattress keeps slipping off the frame!?

We have 2 twin XL adjustable beds which make a king size bed. We keep having problems with the mattresses slipping / moving off the frame. Not on the end because the bar is there, but on the sides. Is there something that can be done to keep the mattress from slipping off the frame other than securing the 2 beds together (say with a king size sheet) because each bed is adjustable? Any help is appreciated!

Buy a non slip pad and place it between the base and mattress. That should help keep the mattress from sliding side to side.

You should be able to find one at Home Depot, Target, or Lowes They're made for rugs. But I've had customers use them for their bases and say it works fine.

Can Someone Help Me With Understanding a Patient With Dementia?

I help care for an 87 yr. old man. He is fine the entire day but whenever you try to get him up in the morning or it's time for bed at night he becomes hateful. I know this is part of dementia, but any suggestions to help him get up & go to bed easier. He still is at his home & wants to keep going watching t.v. until very late. We do turn off the t.v. but he will get hateful & I don't dare get by him because he might hit me. The a.m. is the most challenging time because we cannot get him out of his king size bed. Would a hospital adjustable bed work best in this situation so he could be put in a sitting position? Any suggestions to help here would be great. If his family thinks he is getting mean they will put him in a nurising home & we don't want that for him.
Wow! Your answers so far are great. One thing though he does not stay in bed. I try to get him up & showered by 10 a.m. & to bed by 11 p.m. The hospital bed would only be to get him in an upright position so we can get him out more easily. What are your thoughts?

I know your pain. Without knowing the specific type your person has, a blanket analysis would be superfluous; however, I've found these links to be informative....

  • Getting a Luxurious King-Sized Bed

If you and your partner sleep every night in a bed that is a little too small, you should not have to sleep on the couch. What you should do, though, is consider owning an adjustable king sized bed. We can regularly feel crowded in a queen sized bed. Quite often the difference between a regular night’s sleep and a superb night’s sleep is the difference between a queen and a king sized mattress. Should you be intending to upgrade your bedroom, take the time to educate yourself on the advantages of king size beds from adjustable bed manufacturers .

A queen size bed can adequately sleep two people. However, adjustable king size beds are able to more effectively accommodate any two people as they change positions throughout the night without crowding each other.
