Help finding a Custom size Mattress?

I have an antique oak youth bed, and need a new mattress, 33 by 66 inches. Crib mattress too small, twin mattress too big. Does anyone know where I can find one or get one made?


Having the same problem..Found this shop who specializes in custom mattresses. They do make a 33 x 66 mattress which starts at $200.

Can one bring a used mattress to the U.S.?

My girlfriend fell in love with this pine wood bed that she saw during our vacation abroad and wanted to buy it. It is a platform bed with a pillow top mattress on top, manufactured locally. However, we were told by a friend that there are restrictions on taking mattresses into the U.S. I'd like to know what these restrictions are. If it's too costly to bring a mattress in, where could I order a custom size mattress made?


I believe it can be brought in if it has the mfg label showing place of origin and the material contained in it. Of course government workers can confiscate any thing they wish to. Or they may cut it open looking for drugs. Acutally the cost of shipping may be more than just buying a mattres here. If its not standard size a local mattress co. would have to custom make it, not cheap. You may have more problems with the wood furniture. It needs to be certified free of insects. Imported wood is under great scutiny for invasive insects.
