Bed Best Mattress

Yes, I know the best answer is "lose weight" but I need to know....if you're overweight and end up with a backache or other aches on a regular mattress/bed, what kind of bed has worked better for you?

My husband and I are both overweight. We have a Tempurpedic mattress and LOVE it! We've had it for over three years, and it is wonderful. Aches and pains are virtually gone by morning. It's pricey (ours was $2,000) but definitely worth the money. I would buy one again today... no hesitation.

foam or water bed?

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a new (single) mattress for my bed. I'm big into sport, and need a matress that will give me a good night's sleep while my body recovers from training.

What mattress manufacturer would you recommend?

I've been checking up on the Mammoth Elite Sports Mattress. It's a bit expensive, and it looks as if it only comes in a double size.... NEED ADVICE ... :>(

I read an article about dust mites, and the article said that they live in mattresses----what it failed to report was the best way to get rid of dust mites. Any ideas on the best way to clean a mattress??

Dust mites are parasites. They need blood to stay alive. I've found the best way to clean the mattress is to vacuum it thoroughly, lightly spray it with upholstery cleaner, gently rub it in. Let it dry then vacuum it again. Make sure you clean your linens and blankets too. You should keep your bedclothes clean. Wash them at least every two weeks. Vacuum your mattress once a month. It's also a good idea to flip your mattress now and then. Not only can it keep dust from accumulating, but it helps your mattress last longer.

I am shopping for a new mattress I am looking for something that will put me to sleep fast. I hate anything to soft to the point where u are sinking into it or anything too hard that will hurt your back. It has to be a queen and kinda thick.

Get a memory foam mattress, Tempur is the well known name but they are to expensive. make sure its at least 10" deep, they are fantastic and you can get them for around £400 on eBay, i know this sounds a lot of money, but they come with a 10yr guarantee and you will sleep like a log, God bless and sweet dreams.

I've washed the blanket and the covers, but not sure what to do with that big mattress.

Wipe down with warm soapy water and then disinfectant and allow to air dry. It is best in the long run to purchase a vinyl fitted sheet to save the mattress.
