Can bed frames hold air mattresses?

If I buy a queen sized bed, will a queen sized air mattress fit on it?

Generally they are the same size, but I would advise against it. Anything poking out of the bed frame can puncture the air mattress very easily.

Is it bad for my back to keep sleeping on an air mattress?

We just moved and we're moving again in a year, we got rid of my crappy old mattress when we moved, so my mom won't get me a regular mattress until next time we move because she doesn't want to have to move extra stuff, so she has me sleep on an air mattress in a regular bed frame. But the air mattress caves in, so I have to put boxes under it but they slide back out to the sides so there is always a trough in the middle that I fall into. I usually can't fall asleep for at least an hour and I sometimes wake up with back pain. Am I permanently damaging myself? I'm 14.

Yes, air matresses aren't good for your back. If you're just feeling sore, my advice is to try sleeping in a different possition, or with extra pillows under and/or around you. If that doesn't work, try sleeping somewhere else! Even a couch would do. It's got some support, and definitely won't slide out from under you. But, if you're feeling true back pain, and you're lacking necessary sleep, my advice is that you ask your parent for a matress. Yes, its extra weight when moving, but if you hurt your back badly at your age, there very well is a chance that it will cause permanant damage in the future. Spine's are terribly delecate, and back pain is common nowadays. If space when you're moving is the problem, I'm sure it could be strapped on top of a car.
Your back is important, and air matresses were never intended for long-time use. There's no equal substitute to a real matress, but if that truelly isn't an option, try getting memory-foam. There are matress-cover ones available that just go over what you already have, and it may help your back. BUT i still stick to just pressuring your parent to get a matress.

Air Mattress?

I purchased an air mattress because i don't have a regular mattress and I'm wondering if it'll be ok to put the air mattres on my bed frame in place of the other mattress for now?

Do you have a box spings that you will be setting this on? I wouldn't want to just lay it on a spring fram. It might catch the mattress or pinch it and ruin your air mattress. I think you are fine to use it that way, just make sure you're not placing it directly on the springs.
Here's to good sleeping

  • What to Look for in Best Beds | Bed World Knowledgebase

When you think of best beds most people think about the mattress as the bed, but the bed frame is really the bed. This article will help compare the different types of bed frames that you might use to decorate with.  Some bed frames will have a metal frame with metal legs and nothing else.  This type is just a place to set the mattress on and is a familiar sight in dorm rooms.  Then you can get a best bed frame for innerspring mattresses, memory foam mattresses, air bed frame and bed frames for futons.  Children can have very elaborate bed frames or simple bunk bed frames.

There are many price differences because of the material used to make the frame.  The standard metal frame bed will be the least costly of all the types.  It is strictly no frills.  Wooden best bed frames can be made from hardwoods like oak or a softer pine.  These bed frames can be painted or stained to match any décor.  The wooden bed frames can have slats that allow air to circulate or a solid bottom to lay the mattress on.
