Adjustable Mattress Frame

I have an adjustable bed and I want to put a coil mattress on it. Can I use any one that fits? Or only those made especailly for an adjustable frame. Must it be thin?What if the mattress has a cord around it-will it still work?

As long as its the right size you can use it.

Nearly all coil mattresses have what's called a border wire attached to the coils to give edge support. For an adjustable bed you need to find any mattress that does not have a border wire. Also consider foam, memory foam, or latex are all good choices.

A local furniture store closed and donated their leftovers to our local thrift store. I picked up two tempurpedic adjustable beds but without the mattresses. I can't afford their mattresses so I'm wondering what kind of mattress I can use on it. Thanks!

Yes, you can use any mattress as long as it fits. I have a frame very similar to theirs.

My parents are elderly with chronic back problems. I no at one time adjustable bedframes could be approved through insurance or medicare/medicaid. Is this still the case? If so- what are the conditions that it would be approved for? Thank you.

We have 2 twin XL adjustable beds which make a king size bed. We keep having problems with the mattresses slipping / moving off the frame. Not on the end because the bar is there, but on the sides. Is there something that can be done to keep the mattress from slipping off the frame other than securing the 2 beds together (say with a king size sheet) because each bed is adjustable? Any help is appreciated!

Buy a non slip pad and place it between the base and mattress. That should help keep the mattress from sliding side to side.

You should be able to find one at Home Depot, Target, or Lowes They're made for rugs. But I've had customers use them for their bases and say it works fine.
