Adjustable Frame Bed

I have an adjustable bed and I want to put a coil mattress on it. Can I use any one that fits? Or only those made especailly for an adjustable frame. Must it be thin?What if the mattress has a cord around it-will it still work?

As long as its the right size you can use it.

Nearly all coil mattresses have what's called a border wire attached to the coils to give edge support. For an adjustable bed you need to find any mattress that does not have a border wire. Also consider foam, memory foam, or latex are all good choices.

My parents are elderly with chronic back problems. I no at one time adjustable bedframes could be approved through insurance or medicare/medicaid. Is this still the case? If so- what are the conditions that it would be approved for? Thank you.

Ask a medical supply shop that deals with medicare/aid

So I have an adjustable bed frame and no matter how tight I tighten the screws, the bed continually falls through on one side. I hope you guys understand what I'm saying. it's like the frame expands and if the bed is wiggled even a centimeter, one of the edges falls off the track and I'm left with a slope to sleep on instead of a nice level bed.

I have had this problem for years. Is this normal for an adjustable bed frame? Is there anything I can do to make it stop. I am so close to just putting the piece of shit bed frame in the basement and putting the mattress and box spring directly on the floor...the only down fall is I lose the storage space under my bed.

Seems like you may be missing a part.

Why not get a different adjustable bed frame?
You should be able to park it and leave it for years under your box spring and mattress.

find more of these metal components to give added support? And yes I realize that the bed frame will be supporting the same amount of weight regardless of how many members there are. But with only two, the metal support members are sagging. Can I buy more of these metal pieces? What are they called? Thanks.

I don't know where you can get them, but a very good substitute is a worm type hose clamp. They come in different sizes and you probably need 2". Just be sure and tighten them down good, then jump on the bed and re tighten. Works great!
