I purchased an adjustable bed (without the mattress, remote or manual) at a closeout sale recently. I ordered the remote from Leggett & Platt (Makers of the bed) but I cannot find a place to plug in the remote. How can I find this information online or view a user's manual online? I've searched but cannot find anything. The bed is a Tempurpedic S cape model number 81908 made in 04/06. Thanks.

Nearly all coil mattresses have what's called a border wire attached to the coils to give edge support. For an adjustable bed you need to find any mattress that does not have a border wire. Also consider foam, memory foam, or latex are all good choices.

Anyone have an adjustable bed or know someone who has/had one? How do you like it? What brand do you have? Anyone sleep with their pets? Does the movement scare them?
After years of propping myself up in bed (I have sleep apnea and acid reflux), I think I’m ready to spend a few thousand dollars for an adjustable bed. Just want to make sure it is something I really want.
I had one and it worked great after i converted it to make a fold up ramp for my trailer. not joking
My sister is disabled, and in order for health care workers to come into our home, we need her to be in a hospital bed, ( or a bed that goes up and down and is on wheels) however, a hospital bed will not hold her in, she seizures and if she is sitting up and goes into a seizure she could fall out as the rails are not very high on a regular hospital bed.
Does anyone know of a homemade adjustable bed ( that goes up and down ) with higher and padded sides ?

I have no personal knowledge of it, just did a search.
You can add padding yourself as I have never heard of padded guard rails for adult beds--infants yes, adults never seen such a thing though it might exist--a hospital nurse might know.
Good luck. If that does not work, contact your local Area Agency on Aging (listed like that in phone book) and tell them what you need and they hopefully have someone who can give you the name of a company that provides an appropriate one.

Commissioner Innes made the call for changes after receiving a report from the Physical Disability Council of NSW (PDCN), which showed that most patients with a physical disability visiting their GP could not get a full examination or screening for possible conditions because they could not get onto the examination table.
“There is no valid reason why people with a physical disability should continue to have lower levels of health care – it is an unacceptable situation,” said Commissioner Innes.
“As this report highlights, there is a continuing problem for people with a physical disability visiting their GP – if you can’t get onto an examination bed, it is so much harder for your GP to conduct a thorough examination or complete screening procedures, and consequently there is a very real danger of receiving lower levels of health care,” Commissioner Innes said.
